Despite the challenges, 2020/21 was a very successful year at the Schooner Curling Club. This is due to the hard work of volunteers and the support of our members, who all helped to make the club safe and welcoming. Thank you everyone for your help and cooperation during the year.
Normally, we would be planning the Awards Banquet at this point. However with increasing number of cases and new health restrictions, the executive has decided to postpone the banquet until the fall. Hopefully, we will be past the current wave and there will be a lot more vaccines in arms, which will make it safe to hold an event at that time.
We have also decided to postpone our Annual General Meeting until the current wave has subsided. The AGM is usually in early May, but we cannot hold a meeting with the current restrictions. We will try for June perhaps.
We are hoping to host our annual golf tournament this year, also planned tentatively for June. We are inquiring about venues, and we will get back with dates soon.
We will keep everyone updated as new developments occur.
